DE Die Schweiz ist seit 200 Jahren Weltspitze, wenn es um Alpinismus geht. In den Alpen entstand das moderne Bergsteigen genauso wie ein renommiertes Bergführerwesen. Heute arbeiten hierzulande rund 1300 BergführerInnen – 1270 davon sind Männer, 36 sind Frauen. Wir begleiten eine von ihnen – und zwei, die davon träumen, Bergführerinnen zu werden. Ein Film über Mut, Wut und die Freiheit, alte Rollenbilder über Bord zu werfen.
EN It was in Switzerland that an important part of modern alpinism’s foundation of was laid 200 years ago. This period also witnessed the rise of the profession of the highly skilled and well-respected mountain guide. Nowadays 1300 mountain guides officially work in the Swiss Alps. Only 36 of them are women. We portray one of them – and two who’s dream it is to become female mountain guides in a men’s world. A film about courage, passion and the freedom to leave out-dated gender roles behind.
